Attorney Jeannine Parker-Ross
Attorney Jeannine Parker-Ross is a 2003 graduate of the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois, and was admitted to practice law that same year. Jeannine concentrates her practice in family law and DCFS related matters in Will County.
Jeannine is a zealous advocate for her clients. She recognizes that each case is unique and that each client has unique needs. She works with her clients to determine the best strategy for a given case and to move the same to the best possible outcome. Jeannine is an excellent negotiator and, when possible, will try to resolve your case. However, Attorney Parker-Ross is ready and able to zealously present your case to the court. She has taken divorce cases to hearing and/or trial with success. In fact, her first ever trial resulted in her client (a man) getting sole custody of his infant daughter.
As one of her clients recently wrote:
"Jeannine not only helped me with an initial divorce filing and parental agreement, but I have been working with her over the past 7 years to enforce them. She gives honest feedback, has common sense (a top priority for me), is great at getting others to negotiate, and is not afraid to confront. She has good intuition about when we needed to stop negotiating and begin holding people accountable. She is a great ally!"
Jeannine brings her skill and expertise as a Social Worker to her practice of law. She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Bachelor of Social Work from Illinois State University. She has experience as a Child Protective Services Investigator and as a Social Work Supervisor in a foster care program. She is often appointed by the court as a Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) for minor children and as a Mediator. Her social work knowledge assists in Jeannine’s success in representing clients with DCFS matters.
Jeannine makes her home in Will County where she has raised her children. She is actively involved in her church and has served on the Church Council. Jeannine is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Will County Bar Association and the Christian Legal Society. Jeannine has been co-organizer for the trainings in Will County to certify Mediators and Guardian Ad Litems and is a frequent presenter at trainings for the Will County Bar Association.
